Bikila, Abebe - Ethiopian great who won the Olympic marathons in both Rome (2:15.16,2, barefoot!) and Tokyo (2:11.11,2) in world record times. Bikila was paralyzed in a car crash in 1969 and died in 1973 of a brain hemorrhage.
Blood Pressure - The pressure exerted against the inner blood - vessel walls during heart contractions (called systolic blood pressure) and heart relaxation (called diastolic blood pressure).
Buffed - As in a "finely buffed finish" - good muscle size and definition, looking good.
Dips - Dips are performed on an apparatus resembling two parallel bars, 3 to 4 feet high. This exercise is great for the chest and triceps.
Olsen, Orla (1899-1949) - The Danish vegetarian that ran in the 1928 Olympic marathon, but did not finish the race.
