Christensen, Herluf (1924-1970) - In 1948 this Danish runner had his breakthrough when he beat the unbeatable Niels Holst-Sorensen in a 800m race. He then qualified for the London 1948 Olympics where he started in the 800m, but he broke his leg and could not finish the race.
De Castella, Rob - Australian marathoner who won the gold medal in the 1983 World Championship race. He also won titles in Japan's Fukuoka race and the Boston Marathon.

Spotters - Training partners who stand by to act as safety helpers when you perform heavy lifts in bench press, or squats, as well as other exercises. If you reach the point of temporary muscular failure, your spotter can help you lift the weight up in order to complete the range of motion safely.
