Bulimia - An eating disorder which consists of compulsive overeating to the point of vomitting.
Definition - The absence of fat over clearly delineated muscle masses. Definition is often referred to as "muscularity", and a highly defined bodybuilder has so little body fat that very fine grooves of muscularity called "striations" will be clearly visible over each major muscle group.
Flex - Bend or decrease angle of a joint; contract a muscle.
Gastric Bypass - surgical reduction of the stomach
Keino, Kip - Winner of the gold medal in the 1,500m at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City. At the same olympics he took 2nd in the 5,000m. Four years later in 1972 in Munich he took gold in the steeplechase and silver in the 1,500m. Fours years before his first Olympic medal, Keino was a policeman in Kenya. While on patrol once, he came across 3 starving orphans. He adopted them, the first of many such adoptions. Now he has nearly 100 children living with him at his small Kenyan farm. His sons runs for the Kenyan team today.
Long Bar - These bars are commonly used in exercises for the back, such as lat pulldowns. The advantage of the long bar is that you can adjust the width depending on how you would like to work the exercises.
Spotters - Training partners who stand by to act as safety helpers when you perform heavy lifts in bench press, or squats, as well as other exercises. If you reach the point of temporary muscular failure, your spotter can help you lift the weight up in order to complete the range of motion safely. It is especially important to have a spotter when you are attempted one - rep maximums (1RM).
Thick Skin - Smooth skin caused by too much fatty tissue between the layers of muscle and beneath skin.
